OUR commitment

We are a diverse community, united by a shared love of songwriting and musical excellence. We actively promote belonging in all our showcases and events and consciously aim to lift up voices from all walks of life. This includes (but is not limited to) celebrating different:

  • Musical genres and styles (folk, R&B, country, world, hip-hop, blues, etc.)

  • Languages (songs in English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.)

  • Cultures, demographics, backgrounds

  • Ages

  • Gender identities

We’re committed to hosting high-quality programming with the best songwriting talent in the city, while supporting artists’ original music and building up the local music scene in Austin.

WHO ARE WE?

We’re aN ORGANIZATION FOR AND by musicians. We host events with the intent aim to foster Community, Collaboration, and Creative Excellence within the Austin songwriter community. we hope to continue growing, supporting songwriters, reaching new audiences, and expanding our ability to support artists on the rise both in Austin and beyond.

ASC BEGAN IN 2022 AFTER ONE OF OUR Co-FOUNDERS JOSH RETURNED FROM A TRIP TO NASHVILLE, where he was iNSPIRED BY WATCHING WRITERS ROUNDS. He WANTED TO BRING A SIMILAR STYLE OF EVENTS TO AUSTIN AND PROVIDE A unique listening room where artists could share their songs and stories with a captive audience and audiences could connect with artists in a new way.
